By India Today Web Desk: The Covid-19 pandemic has connected the entire world digitally. Many companies connected through video calls on Google meet. Google Meet allowed its users to change the background, cast screen, collaborative whiteboard, and many more features. This helped in being updated with the new features that were brought to the video calls of the app.
The Google Meet app uses the name that is present in the Google account. This is a way Google Meet is synced with the Gmail account of the user. Therefore, a user needs to change the name of their Gmail account. Thus the name gets automatically reflected on Google Meet.
Steps to change your name on Google Meet:
Step 1: Open your Android device and go to the settings option.
Step 2: Now scroll and tap on the Google icon present on the settings page.
Step 3: Click on the Manage button for the Google Account.
Step 4: Choose the ‘Personal Info’ tab on the account.
Step 5: On the basic info option, click on the Name Field.
Step 6: Next tap on the pencil icon to edit the name.
Step 7: Change the name you want to show on Google Meet and select the same option.
Step 1: Open your Gmail account on your iOS device.
Step 2: Click on the three bars present in the top right corner.
Step 3: Choose the settings option and visit the Google account.
Step 4: Now manage your google account.
Step 5: Select the Personal Info tab under the Basic Info and choose the Name Field.
Step 6: Click on the pencil icon and edit name option.
Step 7: The name is changed as per the name provided by the user on Google Meet.
Step 8: Finally, select the save icon.
Step 1: Open your computer web browser and opt for a Google Account.
Step 2: On the left side of the Google Account, you will find a personal info tab.
Step 3: Now under the Basic Info and tap on the Name Field.
Step 4: Next tap on the pencil icon to edit the name.
Step 5: Finally, change the name you want to display on Google Meet and provide the Save option.
